There are times a client's existing tax preparer is collaborative and times they are not. Sometimes a client wants all of their finances under one roof. We don't prepare taxes for just anyone off the street. We only prepare taxes for our financial planning clients whose situations we are confident we have the expertise to provide the right tax advice. We believe if we are a good fit for wealth management, we are a good fit for tax preparation. Many tax prep firms are closing their doors to individual tax prep or not taking on new clients. This has led to a gap in the number of qualified preparers. We aim to fill that gap. Each client who participates in ongoing financial planning that wants us to prepare their taxes will sign an additional service agreement and grant us a limited power of attorney, so we can speak with the IRS on your behalf, including requesting previous year's tax returns.

We support Form 1040 and all major schedules & secondary forms, even the Alternative Minimum Tax, but not farm-related or household-employment schedules. If you have a business with several employees, significant real estate investments, or an unresolved tax situation, a dedicated CPA or tax preparer may be a better fit.
